In a previous post on May 1st, I talked about growing lettuce from scraps.
I really didn't believe that it was possible to grow lettuce from the bottom of a head of lettuce. BUT I am pleases and excited to say that my lettuce is growing and I have included the picture to prove it.
We eat a lot of salads and so far I have three more "scraps" of lettuce growing. They are growing as well. I have tried growing lettuce from seed and was not successful so I am thrilled that this is working out. Give it a try!!
