This was one of my book club's pick. It was on the best seller list in the top 5 for thirty weeks. I can understand why.
Eleanor is socially awkward. People at work look at her as if she is crazy. She dresses conservatively and tries to stay under the radar. Her life is very orderly; get up, go to work, go home, eat dinner and drink vodka.
But two things change her life. The first is when she meets the unkempt IT guy from her company and the second when both of them are on the street when a man collapses and they both come to his assistance. From that day on her life as she knew it was over.
I don't want to say more. I want you to enjoy her metamorphosis. It's a good read. Give it a try.
