Date night during the Time of COVID

Dining Out: A Blessing Or A Curse? | Maui Vang

Even in the midst of this COVID pandemic, my husband and I have managed to still have a date night. While it's a far cry from our original outings, it has become more of a break from my daily cooking dinner routine and the monotony of our house.

In the beginning of this whole mess, we tried supporting with carryout. Sadly, they just didn't seem to have the carry out routine down. Our favorite Rib place produced dry ribs and lackluster flavors from our favorite Mexican eatery. It broke my heart to give up on these local places, but spending $50 on inedible food just wasn’t worth it."

That's when Chik-Fil-A became our go to place.  They are one of the few fast-food places who seemed to have mastered the drive through.

Our new 'date night' routine involves placing a mobile order, picking it up, and enjoying a hot, fresh meal at home with a glass of wine. Every time, the food is consistently good—a small but comforting victory in these uncertain times.
